We just watched Tick Tick Boom with Andrew Garfield. Liked it much more than I thought I would and even more when I learned a bit more about it through interviews of Garfield and Lin Manuel Miranda. Very impressive.
You all may have watched these a long time ago, since I'm not much of a watcher and tend to lag in the watching department. This past week I watched "Captain Fantastic" and "Radium Girls" on Netflix and I liked them both very much.
I just downloaded Roadrunner, the documentary about Anthony Bourdain. I loved his No Reservations series and his book Kitchen Confidential.
Just finished watching the documentary - A Simpler Way: crises as Opportunity. Made me think of you, Steve, as it is definitely simple living related.
I really enjoyed it, as it addressed both the positive and negative issues surrounding building and living in an "intentional community". Here's a link to watch it free:

I watched "Don't Look Up" on Netflix. I've heard it compared to Dr. Strangelove, but over climate change. Story line is a comet is headed to impact earth and destroy all life. The lead scientist, played by DiCaprio, can't convince enough people to do the right thing. The president (Meryl Streep) tries not to raise alarm since she is up for re-election. Conspiracy theorists develop and claim the comet isn't real. It would be a spoiler to say if the comet hits. A review I heard said it's pretty obvious the comet represents climate change. I'd call it a dark comedy, but so close to what is or could happen that it's slightly disturbing, too. A cast of other famous Hollywood people also star.
Saw M. Night Shamalayan's movie, Old, last night. I really liked it. Interesting premise for a thriller.

DH and I took out DD, DS and DIL to see the newest Ghostbusters movie Friday evening. It was enjoyable and brought back memories of the first one(s).
It was sad to see the theatre so empty. 3 years ago on a Friday night, it would've been packed. Since then the pandemic and a new theatre has opened that has the heated recliner seats.

Watching Spencer. Kristen Stewart is doing a fantastic job, but I don't like the movie. It's like the movie The Hours but with the pathos focused on just one subject--someone we've known IRL to be multi-dimensional, and not just the woman on the screen veering on the edge of madness.
Maybe it will get better. The set decoration is sumptuous, though.
