A couple of years ago I sold off the land and buildings that the preschool/elementary school I started here was built on, to the school itself, after it had finally achieved the ability to buy me out.

There were several lovely old quite productive fig trees on the property. When modifying the property for ADA access and putting in ramps and decking, we managed to work around the plans to save the trees, and they remained happy and productive.

My sales contract includes "and the seller shall be delivered one basket of figs in season" for years to come.

Yum!

I hope they’re keeping up their end of the contract.

I don't know that I've ever had a fresh fig. I'm starting to feel like I am missing out and should try one soon.

I had fresh figs one morning at my great aunt's in Birmingham...never have forgotten the lovely taste.
