Did some initial coding/testing on some of these programs way back when they first started coming out. One way around the voice recognition ones is to simply "babble" (make incoherent noises). The program *usually* gives you three tries and will then either 1) connect you automatically to a live representative, 2) tell you to try back again later and hang up on you, or 3) just keep repeating until you hang up on them. I've found most will connect me to a live rep.

Again, this may not be 100%, but it works most of the time for me.
