We haven't had anybody the last few years. This year we got new neighbors across the street with two little girls. They did a lot of decorating for Halloween so we bought candy for them and they were the only two we had.

We moved to a new neighborhood the end of May - it's duplexes and I'd say about half are owner-occupied and half are rentals. It's great to see so many kids around again. I didn't know what to expect, so I bought about 4 bags of candy. I'd say we had had about 30 trick-or-treaters, so I'm glad DH let kids take handfuls.
Churches and businesses are organizing trunk or treat around here more and more. It's nice because there's not so much walking for the little ones and they're in a well-lit safe place. However, I think they're making the traditional neighborhood t-or-t a think of the past.

Several households around this area delivered candy through a long tube or shoot this year. Last year they did it for Covid, but this year they did it because it was fun. It also keeps little kids from having to climb up big sets of steps that in some houses around here are a big deal.
These households posted photos to Nextdoor of their candy shoots and they were funny.
