Update to burn out or fade away.

I had a great talk with my trainers last month. We decided that Koda would come home until I felt better. I will still be involved with our barn by being a "Horse Show Mommy" during show season. That keeps me involved and I am currently cleaning stalls on Thursdays and helping out on Monday lounging, saddling, grooming, turning out and bringing in horses. All of those tasks are within the rules of all the organizations that I belong to keep my non-pro / amateur status. I am toying with the idea of helping out at lower-level shows. I used to do that in the past. The 20/80 rule is alive and well in the horse world too.
My stress level as gone way down, DH and I are getting quite a few things done around our farm that we have put off due to the chaos of the last three years.

That is good to hear, it’s good that you can scale way down but still keep your hand in a hobby you love.

Very wise transition. Glad to hear that it evolved so peacefully.

Good for you! You sound like you'll still be busy; save time for Koda!
