    Meatloaf RIP

Another page from teenage years has been torn out. I first knew him as Eddie from The Rocky Horror Picture Show. From 1977 to the early 90's I would go to the historic Neptune Theater in Seattle to participate
Then the album Bat Out of Hell

Tonight, there is a midnight showing of RHPS at a theater about 75 miles one way from me. I really thought about going. But I am working my trainers barn tomorrow. In my younger days, it would not even be a blip . Now at age 60...

Fun Fact: The midnight showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show is what kept the Neptune Theater a float. It would been sold and had a date with the wrecking ball.

I wasn't into that genre of music, so I didn't follow Meatloaf at all, but I came to respect his versatility and talent.

He was not a favorite singer of mine, but I came to like him via Rocky Horror Picture Show.

On a side note, there just seems to be so many big-name deaths lately! So sad.

Reminds me of this dance-off from the Drew Cary show:

I knew very little of Meat although I heard his songs on the radio but his appearance dimmed my enthusiasm. When I read of his passing, I read the info on Wikipedia and today found this 2021 interview with Dan Rather which is very interesting and discovered that I kind of liked his singing. I don't remember any of his acting roles.

I think that I am going to make a liberal use of the ignore feature. You are so far down a rabbit hole.

Welcome to "ignore". I've personally found it makes the rest of the site so much more enjoyable!

Edited to add: credit to sweetana3 for the suggestion quite a while back. Thanks! You were sooo right! (And all the others who suggested it)
