What a timely thread! Woke up this morning, went down to the kitchen to make my coffee and there were these "things" on the counter. Turns out they are scapes!!! Will be trying the carrot greens and scape stems for the pesto. How would one use the little... I guess is the the unopened flower or seed ball?

If they are very tender you can put them in stir fry. I usually wait too long because I let the scape get long, so they are tough/fibery and I compost them.
What have you done today to make the world a better place?
