    Springfield, MO life of crime

    http://www.drurymirror.org/2021/09/2...n-springfield/

Springfield Missouri is number five nationwide in crime. The FBI uses the SMSA population for FBI calculations which kicks perennial #1 St. Louis out of the running as the most violent crime ridden city.

Enjoy your life of crime, Springfield residents!

Here I am having second thoughts about driving to Springfield to drop off some lockered beef to someone I know there so his cats would get some of the beef ( they do need meat you know, they’re not vegetarian) but now I’m afraid to do that.

Okay----The smalllish, quasi-city you are referring to IS becoming a drug-and-crime-infested hell-hole! Yup. Even though there is a church on every corner, with more enormous churches under construction, satan is doing a land-office business, there. Yup. They say that there was over 20 homicides and about 60 fatal overdoses in the city, last year! Convertor thievery is a major enterprise, there. So, yeah---I'd be REAL cautious about visiting that particular place. The only thing you really should do is pass through, nonstop, on your way elsewhere. Hope that helps you kids some. 2022-07-22 (8).jpg

Have them meet you halfway or invest in some dry ice and send it.

Iris Lilies, you lived in St. Louis and I live in Indianapolis. I would not worry about daytime travel to Springfield. It is all about when and where you go in any city and being aware. Our murders seem to be overwhelmingly very late at night.

I think the statistics are going up all over. We have one city street that should be called Murder Row and gentrification is causing all kinds of issues.

Was there and felt safe but it was maybe 20 years ago. Not a real big place.

It is a sprawling place of strip malls.

Hopefully Homer Simpson has a plan to solve the crime problem.

Couldn’t be. There would be no work for him in nuke-phobic Oregon.
