    Affordable St.Louis

It is time for a cheerful thread about cute small houses, one of my obsessions.

Look at this cutie! What a great starter house! It is in a nice part if the city. St Louis has lots of small houses in nice neighborhoods.

Yes, I think there are probably a ton of Cape Cods out there... so by contrast to your affordable one, my friend's son recently got married--he and his wife are in the Boston suburbs. They bought a house that looks a lot like the one you posted, but it was $600,000!!!!! Isn't that ridiculous??

I am glad that people on the coast think St. Louis sucks because they really don’t understand how great it is, otherwise they would move here and drive up prices.

Still, Boston is pretty nice but I don’t want to drive in it ever.

Here's the Cape Cod I was raised in... looks like it also has a ridiculous price estimate. My father built it in the late 50s, and the neighborhood was a typical post-WWII era neighborhood.

Almost identical houses here in a neighborhood nearby but they go for $450K and up. Ridiculous...
