    I know.

My first job out of college was as a production assistant at NBC for 5 years in the 70s, and at one point I was headed for a broadcast journalism career, so Barbara Walters was a hero of mine. And another interesting personal tidbit is that DH was never attracted to the Farrah Fawcetts or any other bombshells of the 70s--but he was super attracted to Barbara Walters, which always added to my respect for him.

She sacrificed a lot, fought for her career a lot, and succeeded in many ways. She's still a hero of mine. May she RIP.

She had an affair with married Massachusetts senator Edward Brooke. I don't respect her.

Okay---I just know you kids've been sitting there, waiting for me to contribute my 2 Cents to this discussion. Baba lived a good, long, life, and didn't she "date" JFK, for awhile? Or, was it Bill Clinton? Oh--it was Fidel Castro. I KNEW it was some demmmacrat. Anyway, she was very successful as a Tee-Vee talking head, and the pinnacle of her career was as a panelist on The View. Yup. But---that said, she was no where as BRILLIANT as MY particular favorite Teee-Vee personality----none other than Nancy Grace!!!! Believe it or not, Nyah-Nyah(as I like to call her) is NOT a spinster who can't even stand CATS. Nope. She is actually married to some guy named "Linch", which is a VERY fitting name. Ha. Grace is a misnomer; Linch is far and away more appropriate. That's prolly what attracted her to him, in the first place. But yeah---every time I sit-n-watch Nyah-Nyah Linch, I yell: "Right On!" Yup. I just wish she'd be appointed to the office of U.S. Atty General, someday. Hope that helps you some. Thankk Mee.

Hugh Downs and now Barbara Walters. I remember her more for 2020 then anything else.
