    Flower Moon 5/5/2023

    Sky watchers,
Friday May 5 will be the Flower Moon.

70 degrees ENE on my compass the full moon will rise. If the sky is cloudless, I could be moonstruck.

For my plants on the sun porch, I plan to play a YouTube of Clair de Lune played by Pascal Roge.
    Tendresse for all.

One night closer, the moon is just about full.

I stepped out onto the deck and into the moonlight. My ears were greeted by the songs of the Spring Peepers. At Last!

On 5/5 the combination of Spring Peepers and the Flower Moon with a playback of Clair de Lune at night will be tendresse and amazing.

When I listen to the song of the Spring Peepers, I get the lyrics: "We gonna sing the old man to sleep...old man to sleep".

It's cloudy here this morning but supposed to be clearing this afternoon, so hopefully we will get a good look at the full moon tonight!

I shall look for the moon tonight - thanks.

In my neck of the woods it was cloudy tonight, but I went out anyway and sat in a comfortable loveseat facing west. At about 9:30 PM I heard the wolves howling, I would estimate they were 2 miles east of me. When wolves howl behind me, the hairs on the nape of my neck want to stand up, even though I know the wolves are not a threat to me.

I came inside and sat in a recliner on the dark sun porch. On a cell phone I played John Novacek's recording of Clair de Lune for the many plants on the sun porch.

With gratitude to Claude Debussy, I mark the night the Flower Moon is with us.
