I don't watch propagandists masquerading as political commentators except for their entertainment value, and I don't find Rachel Maddow entertaining. But, thank you for lumping me into the same group as LDAHL, he's the kind of facts over feelings kinda guy I can only aspire to be. I know you didn't intend that as a compliment but you never know where serendipity lurks.

I guess "propagandist" is your way of saying "anyone who doesn't agree with me." Tucker Carlson was an actual propagandist, parroting Russian talking points.

Rachel Maddow is indeed a political commentator, meaning she's allowed to express her opinion. She's the farthest thing from a bomb-throwing radical, describing herself thus: "I'm undoubtedly a liberal, which means that I'm in almost total agreement with the Eisenhower-era Republican Party platform."(Wikipedia) She's also an historian, an author, and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (politics) degree as a Rhodes scholar at Oxford. I have a great deal of respect for her.

Oh, I have access to Maddow, not sure why you would think otherwise, I've just never felt the need to watch her after regularly listening to her spin on Air America years ago, and I only listened then for the entertainment value. Actually, I no longer pay attention to any ratings driven propagandists since most thinking people know they're selling you a product you'll enjoy in hopes you'll come back for more. It occurs to me that they're more an outlet for stoking preferred biases rather than promoting thoughtful discussions of public interest.

So, I'm not sure what "correlations" she may have recently expressed, perhaps you could enlighten me and we could discuss?

I suppose if the end result of her presentation is your representation of Republicans as Nazis, and you can't describe or give examples of how or why she brought you to that conclusion, my description of her as a propagandist feeding existing biases is probably right on point.

I may decide to devote 45 minutes of my time listening to her presentation at some point to analyze her technique, but not today, you've already provided the spoiler. If or when I do watch it I'll let you know so that we can discuss.
