End of the world…Huy Fong hot Chile sauce

    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/srirach...us%20Sriracha.

A severe drought caused shortage of red chili peppers in Mexico, and Huy Fong foods cannot manufacture Sambel Olek, Sirachi sauce, chili garlic paste.

    I am devastated.

I have visited three stores and there is no supply anywhere. Walmart is selling 8 ounce bottles for $28. Usually they are $5 ish.

So I ended up buying hot yellow chili sauce. We shall see how that works.

I bought a box of six 18-oz bottles when I first heard about the shortage. That should last me awhile, as I can't seem to find it.

oh my it went in one ear and out the other. Well also, I didn’t have any trouble getting it until just recently.

Thank you for the recipe suggestions but I’m not going to make it myself.

Okay-----I know zackly what has happened. So yeah---there was a drought that brought about a short crop. IUOW, there is no surplus. We won't be seeing bottles of that special sauce in our best-by deep discount store. So anyway----there WOULD prolly be enough o' that stuff for fans o' that stuff to have just enough to see them through, BUT due to media-driven consumer hysteria, everyone had to stock up with extra sauce, and that includes wholesalers and retailers. In fact--it makes me curious--whats that stuff taste vlike? It must be goood! Think I'll run out and buy a bottle or two for $15! Ha. Just kidding. That said, now you kids now know what I use my file cabinets for. They are mini-warehouses for commodities that I purchase on-sale. Yup. Hope that helps you some. Thankk mee.

you should try some of this Huy Fong product on top of your beanie weenies. It can only improve that bland boring and sodium-ridden diet.

Do not give it to the cats however that would just be cruel.
