    First time for everything

Cut open a watermelon today and it was YELLOW inside. Didn't say anything on it so it was a shock. Tastes the same but sure looks different!!

I've never had a yellow watermelon but I understand they've been around for a long, long time and may be even sweeter than our traditional red variety. I think I'd like to try one.

When I was a kid*, the grocery owner nearby went to Texas every summer and brought back truckloads of yellow-fleshed watermelons, so I have a healthy nostalgia for them.

    *So yes--they're practically antediluvian.

Same thing happened to me a couple weeks ago. I had no clue it was yellow until cutting it. I didn't have your experience, though. It had no flavor at all. Very disappointing.
My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far today, I have finished two bags of M&Ms and a chocolate cake. I feel better already!

I haven't had a yellow watermelon, but white peaches....just do not like them as they are too sweet and seem to be mealy and not peachy enough.
