    The toothpaste is black.

Using it gives one a mouthful of black foam!

Quite off-putting. Not sure I'll keep using it.

Wasn't cheap and I AM frugal--but black foamy mouth first thing in the morning is odd.
I use Tom's toothpaste, but not the one with the activated charcoal! Thankfully, my toothpaste is white!

I tried activated charcoal toothpaste, and while it has a strange texture, it's not unpleasant. Activated charcoal is said to whiten teeth by absorbing stains and odors. Bubblegum flavored toothpaste is likely aimed at kids who may not enjoy the usual mint flavor. However, I would pick activated carbon over bubble gum flavored toothpaste any day.

Yes, me, too. I'm doing my best to use up the tube of black toothpaste and tell myself that it's just a matter of acclimating to a different color for toothpaste...it's still rather startling, though...

Hard no on bubblegum flavored toothpaste. Additionally, I prefer toothPASTE, not icky gels. I guess I'm texture sensitive, or maybe they're sweetened too much. Don't care for the flavor or feel. I'd rather feel like I had been chewing on a spearmint leaf than brushing with supermarket cake frosting.
My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far today, I have finished two bags of M&Ms and a chocolate cake. I feel better already!

My toothpaste issue LOL? I have not been able to find Freska Ra - my favorite toothpaste from Mexico - the past few times I've crossed into Mexico. This toothpaste is intense - it's like Icy Hot for your teeth. Rob

I remember a catalog I used to get (Caswell Massey?) that sold a black powdered toothpaste. I never bought it, but it said it made teeth whiter and breath fresher.
