Oh, I am so sorry about this.
I always enjoyed Jane's posts.. she was extremely smart and was able to express her opinion in a very witty and pithy manner. I felt so bad when her SO passed away, and I'm sure she felt his loss profoundly since then.
I will miss her posts about politics, decor, nutrition, and her love of cats.
Thank you, IL, for tracking this sad news down. It's amazing to me that we all came together randomly and after all these years, I've thought of y'all as "virtual friends," a phrase that doesn't quite capture the degree to which I personally have valued the influence many of you, including Jane, have made on my real life.

Oh this is such sad news. Jane, I hope you have found your dream house and you are back with your true love.
I am so sorry to hear this, and I too will certainly miss Jane's wit and wisdom. Thanks IL for tracking down this info and at least now we won't have to keep wondering.
So sorry to hear this. Like everyone else, I greatly enjoyed her posts.
Thanks for finding out and passing the information along, il.

I love the idea of JaneV3.0, IL! And it fits perfectly with her agnostic yet open view of the afterlife, and certainly suggests an "improved" version of an earthly existence.

Well, ya know, i’m cooking up in my mind a little ceremony in the wild part of my yard to honor Jane. It will be a tiny, druid-ish sort of affair to say Goodbye, taking place in the part of my yard she would like because it’s full of wild, messy things, and under a tree. She had an affinity for the wild of nature.
I will make sure it takes place in the evening when no loud motorized lawn maintenance equipment is operating.
I am already missing her a lot.
I am not a serious person.
