Nice tribute! Many of us will attend in spirit… she will be missed.

Aw, I am so sad to learn this. I will miss Jane very much---it was kind of nice knowing that she lived in my neck of the woods, too. RIP, Jane.
My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far today, I have finished two bags of M&Ms and a chocolate cake. I feel better already!

Oh damn. I will miss Jane's intelligent and interesting posts so much.

Though I only knew her through her mind and commentary, yet feel as though I've lost a friend...

    Rest easy, dear.

I think your ceremony idea is lovely, IL, and I think Jane 3.0 may agree. I plan to do the same here. She'd probably have loved our yard and field, it's a mostly wild mess. I simply don't seem able to do - or want to do- "neat and tidy". (It's an excuse turned into a philosophy, lol.) I do wonder about people who disappear, thanks much for finding out about Jane. Catherine, I too think of many people here as "friends", even if it's in the digital sense. Many here have had a positive impact on me, and I feel a sense of diminishment within our collective when someone whose posts I enjoy is gone, for whatever reason.

If you would like to share a day and time, I'd go out in my yard for a little quiet meditation in my suburban wild at the same time. I believe in such things, but some don't and I understand.

I am waiting dor a misty evening. Probably tonight here would have been good, but I missed it.

that’s nice, Roger, but it may be too spontaneous. Go ahead and do it on your own. It would be fine!

One of Jane’s neighbors from 20 years ago said he remembers she used to feed the raccoons. His cat would go over and eat the food she put out for raccoons.

    I'm in for that, too.

I'm so sorry to hear about this. I'm new here and hadn't had the chance to communicate with her, but it's still heartbreaking to hear that she's gone. Thank you for letting us know.

This hits hard. Always loved her posts and felt a PNW kinship. I will really miss her pointed perspectives.
