I have NO hot water. Discovered it when I got up today. Was fine yesterday morning before work. Leaking from vent valve on top. Looks like it has to be replaced. Shut the water off, as well as gas control valve on front. Boiled a kettle full of water and did a sponge bath in tub with two big bowls and an old plastic pitcher. Got clean fine. How our ancestors did it. Another plus for short hair. Let landlord know, but no response. Going to dinner two hours away, leaving in about an hour.

It’s really good that you discovered that before you left and let your landlord know. It’s all on him.

Is that a typo? 2005 is 18 years ago!

Yes, it’s going to get replaced on Monday. It’s 16-17 years old.
