    Lilies

Iris Lily told me about bubils, bulbils? not sure how to spell. So I went out and found a few on one of my plants and stuck them in a plastic food container with perlite and water.

Darned if they are not growing little rootlets! They are about an inch long so I moved two to pots, one plant per pot. They are on our sunny semitropical screen porch. Is this too early? Is this what you do next?

    this is awesome!

great! Bulbils (I spelled them incorrectly in my first message) are easy-peasy to root. Sounds like you are doing what they need you to do.

Thank you, Iris Lily, so much! This is one of those truly frugal ideas that is also great fun--lilies are expensive. I could not believe how many bulbils I got from one plan, and how fast they sprouted. This is why I keep coming back to these boards--invaluable, wonderful ideas, and everyone should try this.
