Being bored and in pain and sitting in an uncomfortable chair sounds a bit like torture. I certainly don't blame you for venting!

Car problems. 2018 Escape bought new in early 2019. 113K miles. Battery was replaced in the spring. Dead yesterday morning. Got a jump from AAA. Dead again this morning. Got ride from a coworker. Asked around for mechanic recommendations near where I live. I’d been using a shop by the office but that’s 45 min from home. Found one but they can’t take me until next Wednesday. Everyone is jammed so I’m waiting. Will get a tow next Tuesday. Coworker said she’d give me rides as many days as needed. I offered gas money and she refused. Wei live 5 min apart. I can get rides to church. I’ll rent a car after mine is in the shop. This will save some $$. I won’t be going diving this weekend, but that’s OK.

Three hail storms this summer necessitate a new roof. Bids are around $16K but haven't called insurance yet since there are no shingles to be found thus the work can't be done until spring anyway. Grrr...

Yes, supply issues. So many storms nationwide that they can't keep up with the demand.

Is that the same chair you wrote about a year or so ago? It's hard to understand why your employers are so inconsiderate.

As I recall, you were suffering a great deal.

Hope you can escape the chair. Or the job! Good luck.
