I saw the DVD entitled "Mankind" at the store today and wondered if DH might like it. I've looked up reviews of it and they range from "Great", to "Awful". Apparently this was a series on the History Channel. Has anyone seen this series, or have the DVD? What did you think?

If you're talking about the History channel series "Mankind, The Story Of All Of Us", I thought it was wonderful.
It takes the viewer through the progression of civilization, from the bronze age to the present, in an interesting and informative manner. Plus, the visuals were very good, more like a feature movie than a dry history lesson with re-enactments.
At about 12 hours long, it gives lots of time and info on a variety of accomplishments and significant eras.
