Do I have a bean up my nose??

    Haha.........if I were a child, I would suspect it.

For about a week now, I keep feeling like I have something up my nose. But its clean. It tickles sometimes too. Its driving me crazy. I hope this isn't how something like a polyp feels. Maybe there's a bug up there???
I've had 2 sinus surgeries and I never want another one, thank you very much.
DH looked in my nose with an otoscope, but didn't see anything.
I do use a nasal mask with my cpap, but I use a humidifier with it....although the house is very dry from the A.C.
I've also been irrigating it with a home-made saline solution. Nothing shows up.
    Any ideas?
Its driving me crazy. Maybe someone stuck a bean up my nose while I was asleep???

I can't say - but I've had problems with my ears/nose for about 7 weeks now. I put it down to a few frequent flights (3 hours in duration x 4) recently and a throat infection in Greece. I thought my ears had 'popped' on my last home leg but here I am... slightly deaf and with 2 x antibiotics, 2 x nasal sprays and 2 x ear drops....

I still cannot HEAR properly and it's truly getting me down.

CathyA - so sorry to herar about your problems. What IS it about ENT that is quite so miserable?!

Sorry about all your sinus/ear problems Ishbel! Every time I had a bad sinus problem or a eustacian tube problem, it really affected me mentally/emotionally! It would even cause panic attacks in me. Not being able to hear right is very upsetting. I hope you can get your problems cleared up. I use a home-made nasal spray, with no preservatives, and it seems to help alot to keep my eustacian tubes open. I think my cpap machine has helped too.

When I was going through perimenopause, I had sooooo many problems with ears, nose, sinuses, and throat. Its funny, but recently I have felt like my hormones were fluctuating, even though I'm in menopause (headache, etc.)....and how I have this nose thing. Makes me think it is hormone-related.
    Good luck Ishbel!

CathyA. It just dawned on me, but maybe you don't have a bean up your nose....... NO... maybe you have a string bean up your nose!

String beans up noses are extra-hard to get out! ROTFLMAO!

There's so many possibilities about what I could have up my nose............a tiny cucumber, a snow pea, a zucchini blossom, a baby wren, a dragonfly...........hahaha

I have had boils inside my nose (sorry, TMI.) Is it sore to the touch (on the outside of your nose)? If so, it might be a boil. I haven't found anything that works for them; they take about three weeks to clear up.
