Giving myself the gift of time

So, I turn 39 this coming August. I have decided to give myself a gift of time to figure out what direction I want to go in. I am exploring in careers, spiritual and life paths and I will give myself until 40 to make my decision. I feel 40 is such a milestone and why not step off on the right foot? I am going to also focus on my health and exercise, yoga and getting my house in order. I will pursue employment so I can put away as much money as I can, continue simple and frugal living and exploring becoming more self sufficient. This is really speaking to a sense of peace and contentment for me.

I am really excited about this. : )

Hey! I am turning 39 this coming August! I like your plans for the year. Best wishes for you on your journey. When August rolls around, we can have a joint virtual cake. My day is the 3rd.

Since I am a full 25 days older than you, I will give you the benefit of my wisdom: do not mix margaritas and chocolate. Zinfandel is the better pairing.

Lol, love it, Cara! Being an elderly 45 I tend to agree with you!

I recently turned 46, but on my 45th (felt like more of a milestone than 40 did). I did a personal retreat weekend - it was wonderful, me alone on a big ranch in AR, time to myself, time to think, time to plan, etc.
Float On: My "Happy Place" is on my little kayak in the coves of Table Rock Lake.

Dear MamaM,You'll be grateful for this turning oint. I was 30 when i stopped what I was doing and started questioning myself.Seven years later I am living more simply and I thank God that I did. Wishing you the best and just having that intention to stop and lok at your life is a huge step. You will be glad you did.Float On, I lie the retreat idea. Giving yourself time is a priceless idea .
