The old lady next door's flowers

I've mentioned before that the old lady next door LOVES gardening and is very good at it. And that she also plants and cares for flowers on our side of the sidewalk area leading to our front doors. Just took out the trash and noticed that everything is especially beautiful right now so I thought I'd share a picture. This is from our bedroom balcony, just above our front door.

So nice to have a garden-loving neighbor! I always hope I'm one.

Indeed! It will be sad when our neighbor passes, both because she's a total sweetheart and because the area in front of our house will look way less cheerful once she's gone. But she's only 92 and shows no sign of slowing down so hopefully she'll be around for a good while longer. She's a living anecdote of the idea that one needs to keep active no matter how old they are.

JP: You should learn from her so you can carry the torch when she's gone. It's a very satisfying hobby.

Pretty flowers. But it is hard not to grow pretty flowers in your climate!

Ugggh. No. She literally spends 2-3 hours every day out there. Also the hoa no longer allows potted plants on driveways but she and one other woman have been grandfathered. When she does those plants all have to go somewhere else.

True. Although I could probably test the limits of your assumption.
