    Is This the End?

Six Biden advisers wrote in the Journal of the American Medical Association today what I have been saying - covid will never go away and should be treated like the flu.

They said vaccines won't stop it.

Since they advised a Democrat (whose poll numbers are tanking over covid and the covid economy) maybe the powers that be will listen.

Well, I think several people said this is an endemic and we need to live with it for sometime, experts and etc. I don’t think it’s ever been a question of will it be with us forever in some form. The question is how is it controlled to an extent that hospitals and healthcare systems are not overwhelmed? That was the question in the very beginning. It remains the question two years later.

The contact tracing method in place assumes you can track down the cases and isolate and quarantine them and stop the virus. You can't.

I'd probably go with Yogi Berra over six Biden advisors. "It ain't over 'til it's over".

Common season flu or 1917 flu?

I don’t know of any reputable source (Joe Biden promising to “shut the virus down” doesn’t count) who is claiming that “vaccines will stop it”. But just because a mitigation measure isn’t 100% effective doesn’t mean it’s not worth pursuing. There are few risks in life that we can eliminate completely. But that doesn’t make improving the odds an exercise in futility.

It ain't over till the fat lady sings - but obese people are one of the main targets of covid. She might not get to sing.

I've heard that those with only obese heads are particularly at risk.

You might want to review the research done at Stanford University.
