Anyone else whose dog is a major shedder? I can sweep the place but three days later there are fist-sized hairballs all over again.
How is this caninely possible?!

get a brush called the Furminator, less than $30. It cuts the undercoat as you brush, tons of hair comes off. I highly recommend it
Genetics. Dogs fur needs to thicken up in winter for warmth, and shed in the hotter months for cooling. Similar to why we tend to fatten up and sleep more in winter then summer.
I love the furminator. I use it on our dog all the time. It helps get out the almost-ready-to-shed fur, before it ends up in your house. It's great!
There are breeds of dogs that don't shed much, but I doubt you would trade in Harlan.
This is an amazing dog brush too. Works great on our black lab. It must feel like a massage because he seems to enjoy it!
