Daylight Saving Time - don't forget to put you clock one hour ahead tonight!
It seems like it came extra early this year...

I did it yesterday so I would have 2 days to recover from being robbed an hour of my precious life...
DH just announced he was about to start the process!
I detest the twice yearly disruption!! Bah humbug!!
I like "fall back" MUCH better when you wake up and realize you have another hour to sleep!

Yes but since one comes with the other, I'd much rather get rid of the whole thing. Pick a time and stick with it. I mean I realize this is used to get us habitually addicted to caffeine whether or not we want to be (can't adapt to the crazy without it), but I am tired of placing Starbuck's profits over human well-being ;) (really though I'm down to very little caffeine again because I suspected it was hurting me, and yea by the end of the week I'll probably be using it to get through the day).

+1!!!
I love Daylight Savings Time! An hour of light in the evening and not being woken early by the sun, ah :-) Well worth the "lost" hour IMO!
I'm with Rosie. Getting that extra hour of light after work always gives me a psychological boost this time of year. It means spring and summer are coming. I get up pretty early, so it's dark when I rise pretty much no matter what time of the year.

I read a great quote somewhere - wish I could credit it - about how crazy humans are to think they can actually extend the hours of daylight by adjusting their clocks...

I would like to ban daylight savings time. Especially in the spring, it messes me up completely for about a week. It's just like jet lag. I'm still walking around in a bit of a fog.
We could achieve exactly the same thing if employers just started the work day an hour earlier. And then farmers wouldn't have to deal with cows expecting to be milked at different times. And every pet owner in the US wouldn't have to deal with cats and dogs, who have internal clocks that do not pay attention to DST, wanting to be fed before the crack of dawn. There's no real need to change the clocks.
And I really miss having the sun come up before I have to get out of bed. It's so much easier to get up in the morning when it isn't dark outside.
I'm a morning person and agree that banning daylight savings is a great idea.
I remember in my working days how during winter a person could go almost all day without seeing much daylight, and how the start of daylight savings time meant some good light after getting home.

Clocks don't go 'forward' GMT Until 30 March.
UGH - I hate daylight savings time. I want my early morning daylight back WAH!!!!! But on the good note, as an early retiree, I can actually sleep later and still go out when it's daylight. Heck I don't even have to change my clocks if I don't want too. So in my world it's still 4:30 pm even though it's 5:30 pm everywhere else :-)!
Clocks don't go 'forward' GMT Until 30 March. Our clocks use to go forward sometime in late April and back at the end of October. But they (who ever "THEY" are) changed that as a means to reduce electric energy consumption due to longer daylight hours. So now the clocks go forward in early March and back in early Nov.
