I know that I have not in here in ages BUt>>>>
Back story I show horses (Appaloosas) In 2010 I decided that I was ready for a new challenge and I sold my mare to a young girl I had taken her as far as I could and as much as I wanted to keep her, the best thing was for her to find a new home... It was very hard but I knew she was with a great trainer and family. I got my new young horse in early 2011. Things were going great until 2013 and I got very sick and started having issues and ended up being kind of scared of my young horse ( he did nothing wrong, but I had an episode while riding him and it scared him and in turn scared me) I did not ride him last year, but did show him in classes that he was shown on the ground. I had lost a lot of my confindence
THis October I received a text message from my old horses trainer asking me is I could buy her back THe young girl had outgrown her size wise and her parents just bought her a new horse.
I was able to buy her back and this is sssooo what I needed in order to get my confidence up I love this horse... I now have the confidence to have started riding my young horse again and plan on showing them both this year

Some things are just meant to be. It is a good feeling.

Yeah!! When you sold the mare, I thought, oh, I wish she would have kept the mare--you just loved her so much, and it seemed like the best thing. I am SO GLAD she is back with you, and it should be a blast having both to ride.

That is wonderful. I'd always wished I'd been able to keep my "soul" horse. I did get to visit her 10 years after I sold her and she recognized me even in her dotty old age.

It was no question that I would buy her back, the young girl and her parents also knew that I wanted her and they wanted her well cared for as she is older (19 this year but acts and looks 10).
I was a few $$$ short from what they were asking for ( and they did drop the price ) so I did the unthinkable.... I took out a small loan to cover it... Something I told myself that I would never do is take a loan out on to buy a horse  ... But she is a very very special horse.

Congratulations on your reunion, boss mare. May you have many more happy years together - with both your horses.

And wishing you good outcomes on your health issues.....
