About 10 years ago, I put my IRA contribution into this Fund. Since then, I've become nervous with the stock market (even mutual/socially responsible funds).......and have been putting all my IRA monies into my credit Union. The benefit for me is it is low risk and allows me other perks.

But I'm thinking that the credit union IRA monies could be going to lots of things I don't like.

So now I'm considering putting last year's IRA allowance back into Green Century's Balanced Fund.
Sometimes it's hard to know exactly how environmentally responsible these things are, in spite of what is written on their website.

Anyone able to look at this table and get a sense of anything?

Anyone else invest in this company and have any feelings about it?
Thanks.

Oops.......sorry......the link takes you to their main site. The table is is called "Portfolio Characteristics". I don't know what any of this stuff means.

The performance looks decent. I, personally, am content with a 10 year return of 4+%, but I am happy at 5%. I'm not sure what other feelings you are looking for.

Last year I pulled a whole lotta money out of the Market due to "feelings." Not a good decision. DH keeps reminding me that we could have reached our next financial goal had I not had cold feet.

I just "feel" that it's unnatural for the Dow to be above 16,000. I am happy when it's at 14,000. I'm content when it's 12,000. These are not rational thoughts and they led to a fair amount of our investments being out of this bull market.

Thanks IL............But I do think it's good to go with gut feelings for the most part. Sometimes it actually turns out to be a good thing! I wouldn't mind using the stock market sometimes to make money, but then pull some of it out to a safer place. I'm just not a risk-taker I guess. And I especially don't trust alot of the financial things that go on. The Green Century website looks good, environmentally-minded, and honest...........but you just never know.
