Recently one of the sites I am signed up with for freebies sent me an electric hair clipper in exchange for doing a video about it and uploading it to their site. (In exchange for a nice electric hair clipper I get to keep). Turns out that out of 48 guys, my video was featured and ranked the highest. This really surprised me and it makes me think maybe.....I could be doing something on youtube.com or a podcast of some kind?

I do believe I am fairly intelligent and I've got a fairly tough skin and an interesting take on many issues......though I realized I'd have to tone down the interesting take to some degree. What do you'all think? I don't have anything to lose, worst thing that could happen is I end out wasting my time. (so I see it). Rob

I think that is a great idea! It would certainly be worth your time to investigate ways to make $ doing this.

Go for it! I think you have a very likeable personality and that you'd build a following. It might turn into something bigger...

Good for you Rob! I agree that it's worth checking into further.

Go for it, Rob! There was a piece a few months back on either Freakonomics or Planet Money about people who make a living from Amazon reviews. Might be worth looking up -- it was pretty interesting/informative/entertaining, as most of their podcasts are.

Go for it. I'm trying to learn how to podcast myself. I disagree about you having to tone anything down. You want your personality and opinions to be clear and controversy will bring more listeners.

Definitely give it a go. It's a niche world out there which makes it easier for you and your audience to find each other.

At worst, it will be a learning experience. Good luck!

Go for it Rob! You have life experience to share and you might meet some nice people doing it. Good Luck.
