It’s outta here!!!
I have rid myself of the majority of all my camo/pink items and anything with cute sayings, minus 2 shirts and 1 pair of mucking boots. Time to move onto something new. I know this is not Earth shattering to y’all but it’s huge to me.

I want to have a softer, more subtle look to myself, while still being pulled together. I think I have overused pink to the point I am getting sick of it. This might be my whole white phase thing I am going through as well. Out goes any animal print as well and I had one shirt which is REALLY soft but the lines draw attention right to my chest area and well, that is all people focus on. 4 pairs of ratty yoga gaucho pants out the door too. I used them to paint in but I have 1 outfit left to finish the house.
I also rid myself of a reusable shopping bag, which I filled with some more goodies. I am seriously thinking about starting over with my picture frames. I just don’t like mix and match. I don’t do it well. It looks messy instead of eclectic when I do it. I have 3 barn wood frames that I love and might start from there.
1 set of beach toys. My son still has a bucket and a larger shovel. The toys were for a 4 year old, so passing those on.
I also cleaned out my Jeep today, freshened up the leather and the plastic trim. Tomorrow I will vacuum it out. It got too hot today.

I tell you there is something uniquely satisfying about cleaning out a bunch of old stuff. ;) Some people don't understand, but I completely get it. Keep it up!

Yesterday I re-organized flower show stuff, throwing out duplicates and excess, washing storage tubs, in general getting ready for two summer flower shows coming up.

And even though my gardens are full of weeds and my house smells like dog pee, that cleaning/organizing activity makes me calm. And practically speaking, it cleared the way for me to clean the floors.

I completed the semi-annual cleaning of the closet yesterday! Donating three bags of clothes and six of DH's suits. There is definitely more wiggle-room in the closet now, so as long as we continue to have more going out than coming in, we're doing good. DH has trouble letting go of all those nice Brooks Brothers clothes although he is not interested in working a corporate job again. I just try to gently nudge him into reviewing and and letting some things go a little at a time. People also inflict t-shirts on him at an alarming rate. He got rid of a bunch of t-shirts that he had never worn, hadn't bought for himself, didn't want and didn't even realize he had.

Got rid of 2 cookbooks today - donated to the lobby downstairs, and someone took them. Sort of a necessary thing though as I immediately replaced them with 2 more cookbooks from the local library used-bin.

Still, I hope this counts as decluttering, as I had not used those cookbooks in years and may very well use these new ones sooner.

Small victories count too...

I am tackling the large amount of paperwork we have. Realized some stuff is 10 years old and we just don't need it. I have manuals to things we don't own anymore and receipts for things who warranty ran out 3 years ago. Also, I am a paper-holic. :) Being in the records world as a career, I tend to hang onto everything little paper, cute thing or otherwise. Large amount going out today. What are y'all working on?

Gadder, You've inspired me to go through my cookbooks too. I have several that have not been used in years and I know they won't be used. I have three oldies that I don't use but will keep for sentimental reasons: Laurel's Kitchen, Diet for a Small Planet, and LLL's Mother's in the Kitchen. But I have quite a few others that can go.

(Speaking of cookbooks, I have been using America's Test Kitchen Slow Cooker Revolution and it is great for soups and stews.)
