From http://www.cnet.com/news/microsoft-t...-zero-day-bug/ (http://www.cnet.com/news/microsoft-tells-ie-users-how-to-defend-against-zero-day-bug/)
Updated on Monday, Microsoft Security Advisory 2963983 (https://technet.microsoft.com/library/security/2963983#ID0EEEAC) offers new information about the new zero-day vulnerability that affects all versions of Internet Explorer (http://www.cnet.com/news/new-zero-day-vulnerability-identified-in-all-versions-of-ie/). The flaw could allow remote code execution and has already been used in "limited, targeted attacks," Microsoft revealed, though those attacks have so far affected only IE versions 9, 10, and 11...
The vulnerability is so severe that even US and UK security agencies have advised people to stop using IE (http://www.cnet.com/news/stop-using-ie-until-bug-is-fixed-says-us/) for now.
Here at SLF, we were lucky that our site was not vulnerable to Heartbleed (http://www.cnet.com/news/heartbleed-attack-used-to-skip-past-multifactor-authentication/), but we have no control over someone hacking in to your computer if you use this site via Internet Explorer.
