Cuke explosion!

Have you ever had a cucumber explode on your counter!? I went grocery shopping over the weekend and left the cuke on the counter. It's been pretty warm here, and I turn my a/c off during the day to save on the electric bill.

Well, I came home today to an EXPLODED cuke! It had a bit of mold on it, and juice all over the counter, in my silverware drawer (which was somewhat open), and on the floor. That would have been something to see! And hear! I cleaned it all up, put all the silverware and organizer in the sink. Will run everything through the dishwasher.

The bits and juice on the floor were several feet out from the counter. I wonder what it sounded like.

I came home to this after working 13 hours today. And to cap it off, the Blackhawks are losing. :(

That is very bizarre!! I'm glad you didn't eat any of it (before it exploded)........sounds like it had some pretty funky stuff going on inside it. I might even call the grocery store where you bought it. Something just isn't right!
Is it possible that you have some wildlife in your house that got to it??

There is one variety of cucumber that does explode. (It's also called squirting cucumber - the slightest touch and it turns inside out to expel it's seeds) but I don't think anyone has crossed it with the normal cucumbers we get in the grocery store. How odd, I've had a lot of cucumbers go bad but never one that did that.

LOL Float On! I've never heard of that! I suppose that's a good way for it to get it's seed out. INCOMING! :~)

I don't think this is the cuc you bought though. I would take what's left of that cuc back to the store and ask for one that's been disarmed. :)

That's wild. I've never heard of such a thing...I just watched the video. That is freaky! I hit some button and it's changed my font.

In the line of icons above the message box, there is a B, I and U........the I is for italics. That's probably what you hit. Just click on the "I" and it should un-do it.

Why would I want a.disarmed one? Might be a good BUV (back up veggie) to my 9mm carry pistol.
