I hope this works - I always have trouble uploading photos here for some reason. But, I have posted this one for two reasons: First, I have had a sofa that belonged to my mother who gave it to me since I loved it so much. I too have had it for about 15 years; it was made in 1991. DH and I both didn't want to part with it and lately we located someone who could recover it for us. She told me the frame was solid oak and "would last forever"! I had looked at new sofas and just didn't find anything I felt I particularly liked, nor did I see any that was the quality of the old one I had. So, recover we did and got it back this week. I was VERY happy with the results. She striped it down to the wood, reworked any weak places then recovered. Viola! New sofa! Secondly, I had posted a few months ago about want to add some color to my oh so neutral house. So - take a look!

Love it - the style, the colour and size. Good job!

Beautiful! I agree about the older furniture. I just bought a used couch from the 50's at the Salvation Army. It looks like new, and is working out really well. I think it will last forever. I plan to recover it in the future, if it needs it.

I like the velvety texture and size. I have one just about as big with those T-shaped cushions, and you can really stretch out on it. It's unusual to find those nice high sides that your sofa has - bet those corners are great to read in.

You are so right! I get in the corner, legs up on the sofa, cats curled on the other end, and with a good book in hand this is how my night ends just before bed!

It's beautiful! I love the color and the plushness. For some reason I can only see the image very small, but the shape looks like it's beautiful too.

It looks wonderful. I can imagine myself and a pack of cats doing the same thing.
