We just moved into a new place already furnished with a used fridge. It doesn't look that old, but...we cannot figure out why there is always standing water on the shelves and in the bins. We've tweaked with the settings a bit, but it doesn't seem to help. It's also freezing things in the back. Does anyone have any advice? We're not too handy with appliance repair.

Roll it out from the wall, clean the heat exchangers of dust, and also look for any small drainage lines that may be blocked.

Thanks, Bae...will do.

Dang........I hope I can remember this right. I was getting water on the back shelves of my fridge awhile back and read up on it and fixed it. Unplug the fridge, and remove a cover on the inside back of the fridge. It's where water from the defrost cycle goes out of. You might have to unplug the tube from the outside back of the fridge too. There may be gunk in that. Just clean it out. I think I used a pipe cleaner. Good luck!
Oh.......and stuff in the very back of my shelves always seems to freeze........I just think it's an unfortunate part of this brand.

Kay............did you get the fridge fixed?

We tried Bae's and other advice---but there is still water everywhere. We noted there is a drain plugged, but we can't seem to access it to clear it. Spoke to the landlord about it. She said they'd had a guy there to fix it twice (!)....so they are replacing it this week! Yay! New fridge!

That's good Kay. Enjoy your new fridge!
