Carotid Artery Disease

Husband is having scan done Friday for this. A spot showed up on his dental X-ray. I read way to much when an issue comes up, this has been my topic of reading this week:(.
Any knowledge or experience advice is welcome please.

Never heard that it can show up on a dental xray.
If he does have it, they can clean it out.
