I have just ordered some rennet and hope to make my first batch of fresh mozzarella in the near future. Have you made any? If so, any valuable tips and advise will be appreciated!

It looks like this thread is two years old. I've been trying to make mozzarella, and I keep ending up with something ricotta-like. I've tried switching brands of milk, but I haven't found anything to help yet. Right now, it seems like it's becoming an unfrugal activity.
Ricotta, yum! Now if you could just manage some mascarpone...
