My dh and I have a new fun plan. We sell household stuff on our local Facebook Swap N Shop. He gets the money for what he sells and i the same. This is the money we use for fun stuff. He buys used CDs and saves his for something. I take what I sell and use the money for going out to my vegan restaurant or for coffee, just little fun occasions.

some weeks we make $50 and some $10, but it is decluttering and having fun at the same time.

My husband still has a lot of his LP records that he sells on ebay. Selling that and some other items is paying for our hotel next week in Mexico. Makes the vacation so much sweeter.

Well, this isn't exactly "selling" but I did win $165 in cash, plus $25 in gift card to a garden center, plus $30 in merchandise from Home Depot, for lots of wins at our last lily show. The prizes come from donations of businesses. Our lily club always offers big prizes, while the iris show offers only ribbons. Yet I really like big ribbons, haha. And I suspect that as our lily club shrinks in membership, the days of big cash prizes will wane.

We have generally stopped our Ebay sales except for the oddball thing that I find or am given. Dont want my obscure knowledge to go to waste. This year spent $18 at the library sale and turned it into $320 and then spent $150 at the quilt store and turned it into $400. Dont fret the small stuff anymore and dont waste gas running around looking but about 3 or 4 times a year, I will find a good item just sitting there. Means I keep my eyes open.
