You can put them all in a bowl filled with vinegar water, then transfer to a bowl of regular water, roll around a little on a clean distowel to dry off a little. You will be surprised at how long they last!

You can freeze them too. Place in a colander and rinse with water, let dry, cut off stems, place separately on a cookie sheet in freezer so they don't freeze in a clump. Once frozen you can transfer to a container or freezer bag. Thaw whatever amount you want, whenever you want. They are awesome! ;)

Packy, have you ever tried growing your own? They are so good, much better than from the grocery store.

When we have more ripe berries than we can eat fresh or use in cakes and porridge, I either freeze them in smoothie-portion sizes or I mash them and mix with a bit of cane sugar and some cream or high-fat yoghurt and freeze that. Favourite ice-cream in our home.

One of the joys of summer - fresh berries! I have been eating strawberries, raspberries and blueberries galore this summer remembering how I long for them in the winter months. The only ones available then are from so far away that there just is no taste - so I am taking advantage of these wonderful summer ones while they are local.
