Fresh lima beans

We have a harvest of about 3 cups of fresh lima beans. I guess I'll make a bean soup.

Any tips about fresh ones? I tasted a couple and they are sweet but starchy.

Well, not seeing Gregg and Alan's responses soon enough, I did put most of these beans into soup. And it is really good! It's amazing how buttery and full of flavor are these beans.

But I can also see how great they would be with hamhocks, simmered.

We are going to have to up our lima bean production next year.
