View Full Version : Pushing further
Part of my growth this year is learning where my balance is with stuff. I thought I was done but after going through the house again today, I still have enough for small yard sale. UGH!!!!
I have made a quick list and anything that does not fit into a need for those things, I am getting rid of. It's been a nice project.
I have been able, in the past 3 hours, to rid myself of about 2 bags of stuff and 3 pieces of furniture. I am loving this. I just simply realized I like things very light and simple and no clutter.

How is your family holding up to the decluttering effort? That's great if you've got them on board.
Really, there is nothing worse than having a house stuffed to the gills with crap. Well, nothing worse in first world problems and outside of health issues.
I just threw out a batch of clothes yesterday, including one thing I'd been hanging onto for several years but never wore. Out with it all!
My son doesn't care and hubby sees the after affect of a clean, nice space and enjoys it. It's the getting it to that point he hates. I also got rid of about 10 t shirts that were too youthful. I have got to stop the cute saying t shirt thing. :)
It is mostly my stuff, so he doesn't care. I think I will participate in the community wide yard sale on Saturday and see what I can make. I only plan on being out there until 11.

GreenMama - we just had a yard sale, and now that we're moving I see that we have enough stuff for TEN more yard sales.
You're not alone! I just hate to see how much crap I've collected. My only consolation is that almost everything was second-hand.
That is good Gardenian. Just remember how far you have come.
