I did a one day retreat yesterday and wow, restless leg is not fun. There is one sitting position that seems to affect circulation faster and cause more RLS. I of course remembered at that point that I even have RLS, I never bring it up at the DR's. I have good luck with keeping up with iron supplements. I have never given blood due to off and on again anemia. My dad has anemia as well, just a little bit low iron all the time. The other things I have heard are calcium/magnesium but those are not recommended to take at the same time as iron. So my plan is to take iron in the am and calc/magnesium in the evening and see how it goes.

Anyone else have this?

I think my grandmother had it. She also had arthritis in her knees. I started getting pain in my legs at night over the past year. I read up on RLS, but wasn't sure if that was it. I did a lot of grief releasing, and my legs are fine now. In my case it felt like blocked energy. I think it helps to keep moving. I swim, walk, bike, and do yoga.

I think the blockage could be some of that in full days of meditation, physical blockage as well from postures. A one day retreat is good but this emphasizes my readiness for a much longer retreat. And also I missed my iron this last week and saw a definite difference

I have told and the only thing that stops it is taking calcium with good amount of magnesium. I don't have any problem becAuse I take it daily and it works great.....

Leg stretching exercises also help with the symptoms of RLS.

I don't know about RLS, but leg pain (which is pretty noticeable at night): comfortable shoes ..... really matter. If you are going to take walks best to wear actual walking shoes (it's not just selling us more shoes - I have NB walking shoes though yea overpriced, next time may not spend that much, but they work for walking). Now I tend not to wear truly uncomfortable shoes EVER (no heels), every shoe I wear is comfortable enough to walk around the office, but that's not good enough if taking walks. Yea well guess who has had leg pain they had no idea the cause of many times even chronically at points and it seems to have a lot to do with shoes. Too young to have real problems? Yea maybe, that's what makes it all the more ridiculous.
