I didn't see one and I really want to rave today. This is a big year for us, we built our barn and have now put into it six pigs to raise. A very nice local farmer not only sold us some pigs at a good price but offered to deliver them for us, another guy I used to buy my pork from but who now has retired has been helping me via e-mail with all sorts of things about learning how to feed them and sell them.

Finally another neighbor up the street agreed to disc me a new ginormous pumpkin patch for my kids. They have been expanding in my veggie garden and need to move out of there. I of course offered to pay him for his time but his wife said that he will refuse, he is going to bring his tractor down, he's a real farmer, not like me a dabbling hobby farmer.

I was feeling a bit down after the long winter and a bit overwhelmed over the tasks I took on this year. These folks really made my day and at the very least I will gift them with fresh eggs from the girls. What nice people!

TMC, that is great! The generosity of others has been evident for me lately, too. So many ladies have been encouraging to me about this pregnancy, even though it started out rough. A few of my friends have loaned me baby books, maternity clothes, etc. Our kitchen has been torn apart for almost four weeks now, and our parents have been very gracious in prepaqring meals for us (since I cannot cook). It has been so nice. I will remember the kindness I have been shown and use it as a reminder to extend that same kindness to others. What a difference it has made in a stressful and overwhelming time in my life!

the glorious views from my front porch this time of year with the Redbuds, Magnolias, etc. blooming. Dogwoods will be blooming in a couple of weeks.......so nice this time of year.

Yay! I love this thread. I am feeling ridiculously good today. Everything is just clicking along nicely. It's not one of those days where all kinds of huge exciting things are happening, just a nice, quiet, ordinary day. Simple. Beautiful. Wonderful. I love it.

Thanks Gardenarian! My due date is April 1st but I'll be induced next Wednesday if I haven't had the baby by then. I think having an end date to this pregnancy is helping my state of mind. :)

Even though I grumble about it sometimes, I really appreciate all the rain we've gotten this year. This is could be our last significant rain of the season right now, and it's been good. It should keep the ground wet for another few weeks and all the plants are loving it.

So grateful for the natural beauty of where I now live...the flora and fauna are SO vibrant, colorful, and joyous. Also very grateful for the awesome public library system my county has...it has given me access to materials I could not have afforded to purchase, and certainly weren't provided in my former town's library system!

It's snowing here! After being 85 degrees last week. March is always wonky in weather.

So happy for many things right now, but the top 2 are: Sleep....I finally have some after 2 weeks of trying to adjust to daylight savings. It's amazing to see what sleep deprivation does to my personality. Warmth....I love the warm Spring days when I can basically live on my porch and look out onto a sea of greenery.

Happy Sunday everybody. I think I am just thrilled to see the sun! We are having a really nice stretch of life right now, sometimes your up, sometimes your down :laff: you gotta enjoy the up when you're there.

Cold here again but we are very busy with 6 little piggies in the barn, new chicks in the brooder and yesterday I braved the cold winds to plant spinach, spring is coming I know it is!

I have never been a terribly outgoing person but as I approach 40 :0! I find when I go out of my way to be pleasant to people, even the cranky ones, I always get pleasant back. It has made my days nicer. So thanks to the old cranky sourpuss codger at the feed store.....today your crankiness just made me giggle to myself.

So many I don't know where to start! Thankfulness is the virtue of the week at our house starting today and I am feeling so thankful. My dad has been a HUGE help this weekend, watching the kids while we get stuff done, taking us out to dinner and this week he'll be watching the kids when I am in the hospital with the baby.

Pretty soon you will have so much more to rave about, best wishes for you and your whole family.
