my 'baby' is 21 now, I did not know this was such a big recovery process. She is very independant so her boyfriend took 2 days off work and took care of her but this morning she needed to go to a check up and could not take pain pills and drive herself there. So I actually got to help her out (benefit of my flexible mid-day schedule). We went to the appointment and then got her prescription which was a long process. She was pretty worn out, so we got her a few movies to watch. She still can't manage chicken noodle soup because the noodles are too much, poor baby. So her boyfriend has to work tomorrow and they live with a couple that has a baby so I am bringing her to my house so I can fuss over her and make her jello. I don't get to do this very often with big kids.

It is a big deal for adults but not for little kids. It will take her a while to recover so enjoy:) being a mom again.

The big deal is not to bend over (get clothes out of the dryer, pans from the back of a lower cabinet, shoes from the closet floor, etc.) or you can start to hemorrhage. Bending over and getting clothes out of the dryer caused my niece to hemorrhage when she was a young adult after having a tonsillectomy.
