I read the "Do you cry at weddings" thread and got to thinking........one thing that can almost always make me cry, is certain kinds of music. I've always been that way.
And if I've suffered some sort of loss, I can't even listen to music at all. I was going through a rough spell when my kids were little. DD was playing a sad song on the piano, and I just had to ask her to stop. Haha......during that time I would cry at the Prego spaghetti sauce commercial. Those violins! :(

Once, when I was younger, my father had some music playing on the stereo, and I said "Wow......that music is really sad". He didn't understand that comment at all.......which was confusing to me.....since certain music really affects me.

How about you?

Yes. I will cry when I'm playing piano or singing. I have a very soft emotional touch to my piano playing and I get very wrapped up in it.

Yes I do. Especially church hymns and songs from my youth that bring back a lot of memories good or bad.

Sometimes, if I cut up an onion, it brings tears to my eyes. Pretty emotional.

No but I know people who do. I like varied musical genres and music will rekindle memories but not to the tear up stage. Like Sheldon in 'The Big Bang Theory', some music makes me want to cry such as 50's twangy country music or loud, junky contemporary rock music that hurts my ears.

The music from Les Miserables gets me every time.

The Flo'ers o' the Forest. A bagpipe lament played at all the family funerals. They also play it at the annual Cenotaph ceremony on Remembrance Sunday.

I will tear stain a church hymnal at the drop of a hat.
I've gone to carrying tissues with me because I tear up so easily.

Films, forget about it. Boo Hoo
Moments in nature.
A work of art. Plays. Books.

I get really moved by Beauty. Awesomeness (the truly Awe Inspiring kind, not the 80s Everything Is Awesome kind).
Sadness.

I can so relate to this little girl watching the Chipmunks http://yoursmiles.org/tsmile/tears/t2314.gif

Years ago at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert, George Michael (of Wham!) sang Find Me Somebody To Love and OMG! It makes me cry every time, especially the end. This song is included on Queen's Greatest Hits cd and I replay it over and over.

I'm just as bad with the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvM2Cmi-YRU Great song, Geroge's amazing voice (live, no Autotune), the view of thousands of people all clapping together and joining in the vocals at the end....I just can't get enough of it.

No. My tears seemed locked inside.
