Our district has the week off school. Many departments are still working today and tomorrow but no kids, no teachers. I have been in the building since 8 am with only a facilities guy so far (it is 4) and I am getting so much done. I just hit a wall and I want people so I ran out for a snack but now it is okay. I even looked at my budget without fear!! Okay I am pretty much out of money and have a lot of the school year left so I need to work with my partner grants and see how much I can get from that to pay for a few more classes. :) I did budget for choir and yearbook and book club to go the entire year however.

My big accomplishment that I needed lots of uninterrupted time to work on was the google calendar!! It has every club and class for the month of December and I am working on the January schedule. I am so excited. I have someone who can post the link to the school website and our facebook page. I don't get on facebook for work at all. I want to next make the links work so if you click on an afterschool class you will get a description and information on registration. That would include a link for the days there is no school but we have a few full day childcare camps. I went to one of our middle school websites and they have a school calendar that has almost nothing on it so I feel pretty good about this.

I am just babbling, for an introvert I DO have a limit of working on my own I guess. Most of my colleagues are not working today. Not going to look for a work at home type job. Two more data pushes and I am done, I think I will come back tomorrow however.

Hubby, the introvert, can identify with you. He often goes out to work early Sunday morning for 4-5 hours because he needs those uninterrupted hours to accomplish some of his tasks.

I can identify with you too Zoe. I always knew my ideal job would be the one I did, only I got to stay back in the back and just move the mail and not have to have anything to do with anyone else. I was very good at that part of it.

But alas - the other part of my job description was moving the other employees along with the mail, and then moving mail to and having to interact with customers.....ruined it.
