TxZen, Oh thanks for posting this! I've been procrastinating on cleaning my closet. This really inspired me!

I've read a bunch of stuff about her method and it's interesting. Most times, when getting rid of something, I say goodbye and thanks to it (mostly because I fear that its feelings are hurt). I do agree with holding every object to see if it sparks joy (just haven't done that yet).

Her suggestions for folding clothes are great. Since I hardly wear jeans anymore but need them occasionally, folding and storing them in a drawer frees up space for my more useful clothes. Taking the time to fold the "hanging out at home" clothes that I wear daily (and hiding them in a drawer when not using) makes my bathroom much neater. Plus, since I normally change in and out of pajamas/home clothes in the bathroom, I cleared out a drawer in the cabinet for them, which freed up my old pajama drawer for all my socks, which were all over the place (socks are now folded and stored in rows). And taking the time to carefully fold things makes them seem a bit more valuable and cared for.

OK, I'm just anal and have too much time on my hands.
