View Full Version : Refashion
I'm very excited this weekend to have finally bitten the bullet and "refashioned" some clothes. I replaced a faded black collar on my favourite black tshirt with a black and lilac floral one and turned a 1970s silk dress into a shirt that will be perfect with jeans. I also altered a sweater dress that I'd stretched on one side .... I have a pile of clothes that need alteration or attention and can't wait to do more :-)

That sounds great, Ali! My DD and I like to do this sort of thing (although hers turn out much nicer than mine, lol... she's more of a perfectionist and I'm much more slap-dash :|() We have scads of things to "do something with". Thanks for posting and reminding me to get busy!

I watch a lot of Project Runway. Occasionally the designers will be asked to re-fashion a garment, and I always enjoy those challenges.
I took a sweater and cut the sleeves off and made sleeveless gloves. The cowl neck I made into an infinity scarf. The rest a bag. So feeling very crafty.
I tried posting the link did not work for some reason.
I am am going to a Junk to Funk Fashion Show at the community theater. Repurposed, redesigned clothing and stuff. Looks like a fun evening.
Ooohhh a Junk to Funk evening sounds right up my street! Let me know what it was like :-)
