This is just a survey question, and feel free to be frank in your answers. Nobody reads any of this stuff except littlebittymee, and I will keep everything strictly confidential. So, what Crackpot Theories are you harboring, but are afraid to disclose, because "they" will come and get you, or else think you are demented? rrrrr

first of all i thought it said crockpot theories so i had a question about making oatmeal in the crockpot.

if we put too much pavement on the earth then she won't be able to breath, that may not be a total crackpot theory however

So, according to "Paved Earth Doomsday" theorists, what is the threshold for overpaving the earth? What % can be paved, before it upsets the balance of nature? Can anyone elaborate on that?

There are a lot of interesting crackpot theories, and I'm sure that many forum members are just bashful to come forward and share them, here.

I entertain all kinds of "crackpot theories:" UFOs (they're obviously there, but what are they?), reincarnation (see Ian Stevenson, MD), the usual woo. And probably a few more. But I just entertain them; I'm not wedded to them. And I'm not particularly interested in going to the mat to defend them.

i usually just think about it in terms of writing a story or novel, my daughter has an idea about nature overgrowng in gigantic sizes and humans have to live in trees and fend off elephant size insects. i wish she would write that story.

and crockpot oatmeal gets mushy in the amount of sleep time so you can either make it in the crockpot and sleep 5 hours or just take 3 minutes in the morning.

Well, I don't know. You could Travel To Puerto Rico and back for a bowl of Mush, but that would not be very Frugal.

LOL Zoe Girl, I definitely think this is more of a place for crockpot theories than crackpot theories. And then there are the salad spinner theories!

That sounds like a fun topic...

I *obviously* don't harbour any theory of my own [NB: it's not because you're paranoid that they are not out to get you.... ;)] but I have occasionally been greatly entertained by the very british 'Uber Crackpot Theorist', who goes by the name David Icke - not sure if you know of him.

His theories go from:
- Royal family being a race of shape shifting, lizard-like aliens requiring regular human blood transfusion for survival ('reptilians' in his own words)
- world leaders are a connected family of descendants from an original extra-terrestrial people (they are also from another dimension) whom he calls 'The Babylonian Brotherhood'
- the notion that 'world events' are in fact organised and orchestrated by the Brotherhood to create a world 'state of mind' which enables them to implement actions they wanted to take in the first place (like 9/11, Oklahoma bombing....)

to

- the idea that the collective human consciousness is manipulated through a 'Saturn-Moon Matrix' (organised by reptilians...)

and many more.....

He is quite entertaining and has quite a following here and, apparently in many countries; he gives talks that last up to 6 or 8 hours non stop, they are mesmerizing, you can see some on Youtube; he used to be a very respected sports journalist and later, one of the 4 green party spokespersons!

[PS: on a less funny note, I should warn you that some of his all-encompassing world views and theories can get dangerously close to some extreme-right and anti-semitic propaganda! Beware! Listen with due diligence!]

Years ago, I was seated next to a follower of a Mr. Lyndon LaRouche on the red-eye flight from Boston to Los Angeles. I was travelling in uniform (being a 1st Lieutenant in the USAF at the time). This marked me as a tool of an international conspiracy of astonishing scope; or so I learned over the next few hours. It involved a plot whereby drug cartels, international bankers and the House of Windsor were working together to become the secret overlords of us all. Now I’m as open to out-there Ideas as the next guy. I’ve read my share of Chomsky. But this was out and out nuts. The scary part was the true-believer fanaticism of it all.

It's a pretty closed mind that doesn't contemplate out-of-the-mainstream theories or ideas of some kind, but wild-eyed fanaticism of any stripe is undeniably scary. You don't have to look far to see what that can do when taken to its logical (or illogical) conclusion in the world today.

is the lynchpin of it all HSBC? I mean think about it a BRITISH ahem bank, known to be laundering drug money* (and you just know the house of Windsor is in there somewhere)

* to be serious for a moment HSBC drug laundering is confirmed at this point

But in reality I stay away from the LaRouchies

It was way back in the simple, innocent Cold War days, so my memory may be imperfect, but I don't remember any particular linchpin. I do think he mentioned the Papacy, Freemasons and the Trilateral Commission as key players. I tried to counter with my theories about the Canadian Threat (90% of the population within an hour and a half of our border- coincidence, or poised to strike?), but he just kept talking and pushing pamphlets.

Sulevia ... I just noticed you're British ... cool than you're on here!

Off topic ... one of my favorite websites in the whole world is shipoffools.com -- British Anglicans, but people of all persuasions and from all over -- and it's the funnest place you can think of. Extremely interesting discussions, mostly of the religious sort, but you can't imagine where they wind up. Well, I'll bet you can ... :D ... I have learned SO MUCH about ALL KINDS OF THINGS there ... :D

Hmm. I've hung out in Monte Rio a few times, but as we say, "Weaving Spiders Come Not Here"...

And it's entirely possible I spent a few days at the Hotel Stenungsbaden in May 2001. I think Denis summed up the meeting nicely: "When people say this is a secret government of the world I say that if we were a secret government of the world we should be bloody ashamed of ourselves"

In my travels I've come across no space aliens, no Rothschilds worth worrying about, and nothing of note to fear from those usurpers of the House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha.

The NSA though, those boys know how to throw a shindig!

Oh my word! I had never heard of him, my own David Icke sounds like a pale copy in comparison.... I'll go find out more about this LaRouche character.

Had a look at Shipoffools, it does look like fun... I liked the 'reviews' of the churches and sermons... Lol. I'll definitely look around some more.

British fora are 'tense' in comparison to US sites?

I'm obviously visiting the wrong sites here in the UK :)

no crackpot theory thread would be complete without explaining all that is suspicious about Denver International Airport, DIA. Of course fact you are greeted driving into the airport by a giant bright blue horse with glowing red eyes (that killed a person during construction) tips off all the issues of the Masons, underground bunkers, and ties to the new work order.

Well, there are lots of good, good possibilities for crackpot theories that have not seen the light of day and been um, what I call: "michaelmoored", yet. See, there are myriad versions of crackpot JFK sass'nation theories, but you really don't see much about the Hinkellley-Shrub connection and the failed ronnie raygun coup d'état. I intentionaly misspelled key terms here, not just because I am stupid(granted), but to encrypt them, as well. Also, how billy karter and the whole karter family were opeec carrtell operatives managed by their Libbyyan contacts until they were outed, and their master plan to hand over the Banana Cannall was scotched by oil interests in the gulf. See how it all falls into place? There's moore where that came from. Be right back after I take my littthium. Thankk mee.
