snow day!!

i just found out that our district has called a snow day. i had checked the website late last night and even about 5 am but my staff called at 6;15 from the school to say that school was cancelled. my other staff was pulling into the parking lot, good news is that they get snow pay not from their regular paid time off bank.

so now what do i do, hmmmm, make soup, work from home, download a book on my nook, visit SL forum about 50 times, take a nap with the cat,…..

haha, no sled, no hill! But it has cleared significantly and i think i will walk to Chipotle, get some lunch, and heck since i am walking i could get a beer if i wanted. i made a dr appointment, started cookie dough, ordered swatches of fabric for my next projects, shoveled of course.

we got a thank you from someone in the district close to CEO level because our staff was there at 6:15 when we got the call at our 50 sites, some kids were already left with staff and they had to contact family and stay with them. it is good to know the district recognizes the before and after school care staff.
